CASA CORBERÓ

Located in Esplugues de Llobregat, the home and studio of Catalan sculptor Xavier Corberó is an ever-evolving, surreal masterpiece built over five decades. A monumental labyrinth of repetitive concrete arches, floating staircases, and hidden courtyards, the estate intentionally blurs the boundaries between inhabitable architecture and monumental sculpture.

Documenting this seemingly infinite spatial puzzle demanded a strict two-scale structural philosophy. At the macro level, objective, two-dimensional perspective lines are prioritized to anchor the dizzying repetition of arches and the imposing brutalist volumes. At the micro scale, quick-capture camera techniques were essential to authentically freeze the transient play of natural light and deep shadow across the raw concrete textures. Rather than surrendering to the passive romanticism of the labyrinth, this visual series delivers a rigorous, geometric examination of Corberó’s lifelong spatial opus.
